Application of Statistics in Health Care

Statistical application and the interpretation of data is important in health care. Review the statistical concepts covered in this topic. In a 750-1,000 word paper, discuss the significance of statistical application in health care. Include the following:
Describe the application of statistics in health care. Specifically discuss its significance to quality, safety, health promotion, and leadership.
Consider your organization or specialty area and how you utilize statistical knowledge. Discuss how you obtain statistical data, how statistical knowledge is used in day-to-day operations and how you apply it or use it in decision making.
Three peer-reviewed, scholarly or professional references are required.
Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

Marketing Question

Identify an existing or potential consumer behavior in the marketplace, broadly construed, that
interests you. Your goals in this paper are as follows:
– (1) describe your chosen consumer behavior, with sufficient specificity and connection to
course concepts
– (2) justify why this is an interesting consumer behavior to study
– (3) propose an experiment (or A/B test) that could influence this consumer behavior
– (4) describe the possible findings that your experiment could show
– and (5) predict which finding you think is most likely and why other findings are less likely.
The Week 0 slides provide an example of this (see slides 11 and 12). Consult me for guidance any time
if you would like feedback on your ideas.

3, Evaluation Criteria
In terms of evaluation, I will focus on (a) how well you demonstrate a grasp of the scientific method,
(b) the relevance of your proposed experiment to consumer behavior, and of course (c) how
persuasive you are in defending your preferred prediction against other possible predictions.
In short, there are two broad features of your papers that I will be evaluating:
– What is your position, how clear is it throughout the paper, and is it persuasive to the reader?
– Have you successfully dissuaded the reader of other possible positions?
Below are some concrete examples from past papers to illlustrate the goals of this paper. Refer to the
five points above under point #2 to clarify each of these outlined points:

(A) Describe your chosen consumer behavior, with sufficient specificity and connection to course
concepts.
a- Are you studying delivery methods for skincare products? If so, which ones?
b- Are you interested in spending behavior as a function of priming? What kind of priming, and what
kind of spending?
c- Are you examining the influence of music on advertising appeals? What kinds of music, which ads?
(B) Justify why this is an interesting behavior to study.
a- Skincare products are a $X billion industry, and growing…
b- Priming can have pervasive influences on consumers, without their awareness…
c- Music is a common but little considered feature of consumers’ marketplace experiences…
(C) Propose an experiment (or A/B test) that could influence this consumer behavior
a- I will have one group use some lotion via the standard jar (control) compared to a second group
using the same lotion via a hand pump (treatment) and measure their atittudes toward the product.
b- I will prime one group of consumers with slowness (group A) and another group with quickness
(group B) and measure how long they take to peruse an online retailing website.
c- I will assign half the consumers to listen to standard major-key songs (control group) while the
other will listen to the same songs but converted into minor-key variations (experimental group) while
grocery shopping, and measure their emotions and attitudes after they finish shopping.
(D) Describe the possible findings that your experiment could show.
a- This design allows us to examine whether the hand pump has a positive, negative, or no effect on
product attitudes compared to the standard jar.
b- This experiment can reveal how priming slowness (“take your time!”) versus quickness (“these deals
won’t last!”) can lead to similar effects on shoppers’ actual shopping speed in an ecologically valid
buying context.
c- This study provides a subtle but potentially meaningful way to examine consumers’ emotions,
attitudes, and behavior as affected by music-induced changes in mood.
(E) Predict which finding you think is most likely and why other findings are less likely.

a- I predict that hand pumps will improve consumer attitudes over the standard jar, due to improved
hygiene and control over the amount used. Of course, it is possible that the hand pump is associated
with “cheaper” skincare brands and could thus actually lead to a decline in product attitudes.
However, this seems unlikely because…
b- It is most likely that consumers primed with slowness will spend a longer time shopping than those
primed with quickness. It is worth noting, though, that primes are already quite common in marketing,
and so consumers with too much prior exposure to such primes might render the current primes
insufficiently impactful. I would argue that this design allows us to address this concern by…
c- I expect that the minor-key variation will cause consumers to experience more negative emotions
than those in the major-key control group, and as a result the minor-key group will have a less
pleasant experience by the end of their grocery trip. Though it is possible that this manipulation will
lead to no such differences—or even to improved experiences in the minor-key group—I suggest that
these alternatives are less plausible because…

People conform for two broad reasons: to be liked and to be right.
Using the material in Chapter 6, write an essay in which you describe these two types of conformity. Be sure to use the appropriate terms and describe the corresponding studies that demonstrate these two categories of conformity.

covid 19 how did affect teacher job

Out of the Box Relationship Essay (50 points)We are in the midst of Coronavirus-19 aka Covid-19. It is traumatic for all involved for many reasons. I am confident it will be considered an Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs) for the children involved. I would like you to read these two articles on ACEs so you have a better understanding:https://eclkc.ohs.acf.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/…https://www.publicschoolsfirstnc.org/resources/fact-sheets/aces-and-resilience-what-can-we-do/As teachers you will be called upon to work with children who have this experience and most likely 60% of those you work for have another ACEs or more. These greatly affect children and one of the things they really need is to have a caring relationship with at least one person in their lives. Some may not get that at home. Teachers are an important part of helping children with ACEs cope with their experiences and to establish a caring relationship so they know they can trust someone and that someone is there for them.Based on the above, I would like you to write a 4 to 5 page essay on relationships between a teacher and the children she/he teaches and how these relationships effect the child. Please cover why these relationships are critical to the development of the child and how they lead to quality child education. Explain why it is critical now during Covid-19 that you do what you can to forge that relationship. You may use examples you have observed or practiced in the classroom.Use your text especially Chapter 15 and the Reality Check on Relationship Based Care, and Chapter 13 Reality Check on Vulnerability and Resilience. Then read following information on relationships with children:https://www.acf.hhs.gov/sites/default/files/opre/n…6_b508compliant.pdf

Manhattan Island (an example offered within the chapter):

Explain how $24 invested in a savings account offering a compound interest rate, r, of 8% in 1626, would have been worth $75.979 trillion in the year 2000 (374 years).Explain how $24 invested in a savings account offering a compound interest rate, r, of 3.5% in 1626, would have been worth $9,287,569 (or approximately 9.3 million) in the year 2000.What accounts for the significant difference in the value of the account in the year 2000?* Present Values. Compute the present value of a $100 cash flow for the following combinations of discount rates and times. Include the formula used to make the calculations. Note: See page 50 and 51 of the online resource; the general formula is: r = 12%; t = 10 yearsr = 12%; t = 20 yearsr = 7 percent; t = 10 yearsr = 7 percent; t = 20 years* Present Values. Would you rather receive $1,000 a year for 10 years or $800 a year for 15 years if:The interest rate is 7 percent? The interest rate is 22 percent?

Provide a rational as to why do your answers to “(a)” and “(b”) differ?* Future Values. Compute the future value of a $100 cash flow for the following combinations of discount rates and times. Include the formula used to make the calculations. The general formula is:r = 12%; t = 10 yearsr = 12%; t = 20 years r = 7 percent; t = 10 yearsr = 7 percent; t = 20 years* Calculating Interest Rate.
